Nate’s Coffee’s owner, Nate Polly, will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the Lexington Legends baseball game on September 29th as part of their celebration of National Coffee Day. There will also be coffee giveaways and Nate’s Coffee coupons for those in attendance.
Nate’s Coffee is in its ninth year of roasting coffee for stores, restaurants, hotels and universities around the Bluegrass. They are known for a smooth, clean coffee profile and put emphasis on fresh roasting every pound to order.
The Lexington Legends added Nate’s Coffee Cold Brew to its concessions this season, offering baseball fans an alternative to sodas and beer. Nate’s Coffee “Midnight Gold” Cold Brew won the “People’s Choice” award at the first annual Lexington Cold Brew Festival.
“No one has much confidence in my ability to throw the ball,” said Nate. “I’m looking forward to silencing all my doubters.”
Mr. Polly, an avid golfer, has been practicing his pitching skills in anticipation.

The Nate’s Coffee shop at 125 Cheapside on Tandy Park will also be running National Coffee Day promotions: all whole bean and ground coffee is 15% off, drip brewed coffee is half off, and cold brew coffee is buy one, get one free!
National Coffee Day is celebrated every year on September 29th. This “holiday” celebrates the most consumed beverage in the United States while also raising awareness for global coffee farmers. National Coffee Day has been observed in the United States as far back as 2005.
