The Working Cat Project is supported by our Blue & White Charity Blend

Working cats might be shy, but they did great protecting the brewery’s grain from mice!

Lexington, Kentucky — One way Nate’s Coffee likes to give back is through the charities that we support every month. This month’s charity is The Working Cat Project which was picked by our employees – Anna, Amantha and Tommy.

The Working Cat Project helps to rehome cats to be “working” barn cats. These cats come from dangerous living conditions where they might not be suitable for the indoor lifestyle. This project is significantly special to the workers at Nate’s Coffee. Country Boy Brewing employed working cats that visited us at the old production facility on Chair Ave. These cats were cared for by our workers and deeply cherished.

One cat in particular, Ace, was re-homed by the in-laws of Amantha, our production manager, when Country Boys moved their operations to Georgetown. He now resides on a great property in Jessamine County. We are glad we could play a part in giving hope to these animals. We only wish we had known about the Working Cat Project sooner!

If you would like to contribute to this great cause you can do so by purchasing a pound of our Blue and White Charity Blend. We will donate a minimum of $1 for each pound sold to the Working Cat Project for October!

You can also directly donate at https://www.workingcatprojectky.org/donate. We hope that you share our interest in providing safe homes for cats!

Nate’s Coffee has fundamental responsibilities that contribute to its success. These responsibilities include a good work ethic, high-quality service and products, and an overall sense of care and concern for our community. Financial growth is important in owning and operating a company, but so is giving back.
