Sweet and smooth, this lighter medium roast has hints of milk chocolate and caramel. It’s a Fair Trade coffee, shade-grown in the Atitlan region of Guatemala, at the Finca Ceylan coffee estate. The estate stretches over 700 acres of land, most of which is dedicated to a nature preserve. Only 230 acres are set aside for farming the Bourbon and Typica beans, which the Echeverria family has been cultivating since 1878.
This bean is also certified Bird-Friendly by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. This process requires the coffee to be certified organic and the farm to provide a variety of shade trees.
