One of the many ways Nate’s Coffee gives back to the community is through our Blue u0026amp; White Charity Blend. This process provides exposure of twelve different organizations a year to the Nate’s Coffee community, as well as a fundraising opportunity. A medium-dark blend of Ethiopia and Latin American coffees, Nate’s Blue u0026amp; White Charity Blend has hints of chocolate-covered berries.

The mission of God’s Pantry Food Bank is to reduce hunger in Kentucky through community cooperation making the best possible use of all available resources. $1 from each bag sold in December went to Coffee Kids, which creates economic opportunities for young farmers who want to continue farming coffee in their communities. This organization’s Rural Business Workshops provide business skills, funding, and mentoring to empower their students to turn coffee farming into a business that provides a good life for their families. With these tools, not only are young farmers optimizing their farms, they are starting side businesses that provide steady, year-round incomes.
$1 from each bag sold in November goes to Team Fox. This month is a Team Fox event to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s today. $1 from each bag sold in October goes to the Lexington Humane Society. Its mission is to advocate the compassionate treatment of animals; educate the community on responsible, lifelong pet ownership; and promote adoption as the best option when searching for a new pet.
$1 from each bag sold in September goes to the International Book Project, a Lexington 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes literacy in underserved areas of the world, both domestic and abroad. We collect, sort, and ship donated books in response to requests from around the world.
Nate’s Coffee donated $1 from every pound of Blue u0026amp; White Blend sold in August 2016 to Radio Eye. Radio Eye is a 24/7 radio reading service that provides the reading of newspapers, magazines, and other printed material to people who are blind or sight-impaired in Kentucky.
$1 from each bag sold in July 2016 went to FoodChain. FoodChain forges new links between community and fresh food by providing education and demonstration of sustainable, innovative food systems
Nate’s Coffee donated $1 from every pound of Blue u0026amp; White Blend sold in June 2016 to CASA of Lexington. Through the power of volunteer advocacy, CASA of Lexington works to ensure that all victims of child abuse and neglect are given a chance to thrive in a safe, permanent home. CASA’s trained and supervised volunteers provide an independent voice for children, one child at a time, by speaking for their best interests in the family court system.
Nate’s Coffee donated $1 from every pound of Blue u0026amp; White Blend sold in May 2016 to GreenHouse17. Formerly Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program, is an advocacy agency committed to ending intimate partner abuse in families and the community. Their specially trained crisis counselors are available to help people harmed by intimate partner abuse any time of the day though their hotline: 800-544-2022.
$1 from each bag sold in April 2016 went to Kentucky Cancer Link. The mission of Kentucky CancerLink is to provide support by reducing and/or eliminating barriers to screening, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
$1 from each bag sold in March 2016 went to USA Cares, which is committed to supporting post-9/11 veterans and families in need. A national nonprofit based in Radcliff, Kentucky, their goal is to help restore financial stability and self-sufficiency by giving “a hand up not a hand out.” Learn more by visiting www.USACares.org.

Seedleaf works to increase the amount, affordability, nutritional value, and sustainability of food available to those at risk of hunger.
